Terms and Conditions

This competition is only open to those who do not already have a membership at Maitland Libraries. Entries from current members will not be accepted. You must be 18 to enter the competition. This competition only applies if you sign up online.

1. Eligibility

a. This competition is open to new members who sign up for a library membership during the competition period.

b. Existing library members are not eligible to participate in this competition.

c. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter.

d. Library staff, Council staff and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

2. Entries

a. Each eligible entrant can submit a maximum of **three (3) entries** into the draw.

b. Multiple entries beyond this limit will not be accepted and may lead to disqualification.

c. Entrants must provide accurate and truthful information when submitting their entries. Incomplete or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

d. Entrants who are found to be Library members already will be disqualified from winning the prize.

3. Competition Period

a. The competition begins on 4 November, 2024 and ends on 3 December, 2024.

b. All entries must be submitted by 3 December at 12 midnight. Any entries submitted after this time will not be included in the draw.

4. Prize

a. The prize consists of a Kobo e-Reader

b. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.

c. There are two prizes to be given away.

5. Draw and Winner Selection

a. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the competition period.

b. The draw will take place on 4 December 2024.

c. The library’s decision regarding the selection of the winner is final and binding. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained.

6. Winner Notification

a. The winner will be notified via email and or phone within 7 days of the draw.

b. If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the initial notification, or is ineligible, the library reserves the right to redraw and select a new winner.

7. Privacy

a. By entering the competition, participants consent to the library collecting and using their personal information for the purpose of administering the competition and prize distribution., and understand that they have joined Maitland Libraries as a member.

b. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the library’s privacy policy.

c. Participants must supply an email address, full name and postcode to join the library and thus enter the draw.

By subscribing to the Library mailing list, Maitland Libraries reserves the right to contact you beyond this promotion for future activities and promotions happening at a library near you. Participant’s privacy will be protected in accordance with Maitland City Council’s Privacy Management Plan.

8. General Conditions

a. The library reserves the right to modify, cancel, or suspend the competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.

b. Participation in this competition implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

c. The library is not responsible for any technical issues or disruptions that may affect entry submission or winner notification.
