  • National Library of Australia Family History Guide - This guide has a fantastic set of linked resources and advice for starting your journey. 
  • Ancestry Library Edition - Access an extensive collection of genealogical records, including census data, birth, marriage and death records, immigration records, military records and more. You can search for your ancestors, build family trees and access historical documents. Please inquire with our friendly library team to log in to Ancestry as it's available only on library computers.
  • Find My Past - Another popular genealogy database available at select public libraries. It offers a wide range of records including birth, marriage and death records, census records, military records, newspapers and more. You can explore your family history, access historical documents and connect with other researchers.
  • Local Societies - Maitland & Beyond Family History Inc and Maitland & District Historical Society are two local groups can assist you in your family history research.
